Taste of Home Restaurant

The staff has always been friendly. The food was great. The menu selection was perfect. Lots of good choices. We love the burgers and the pancakes.

Looking for some seriously good brunch food and/or comfort food? Taste of Home in downtown Wylie hits it out of the park! We stopped in over the weekend and these omelettes were to die for! Seriously, one of the best omelettes I've ever had. Service was friendly and accommodating but definitely not fast so go to enjoy and relax. The ambiance is along the lines of your grandmother's country kitchen. Quaint place with excellent food and friendly service! Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Our visit was at 11:30am on a Sunday. We were greeted close to immediately by the hostess and sat in the back area. After about 5 minutes we were wondering where a waitress was to get us water and coffee. After an additional 10 minutes we noticed others were getting served when they weren’t a priority. By this, I mean people who were getting a check and enjoying conversation with each other. We walked out. Waiting over 15 minutes for water and coffee is unacceptable. A peak time is not an excuse either when there are obvious flaws with productivity.

His business after thirty years closed the very day we were there was their last open. Very quaint, hostess and waitresses professional, quick and friendly. Breakfast menu was attractive and tasty. They had a lot of locals eating there and heard many say they'd been coming over twenty years. Pa
