Bankers Life rejected my application for insurance because my "application did not meet our (their) medical underwriting guidelines". It seems that I have a right "..to obtain the specific the specific reasons for our decision by submitting a written request to us (them)." It's a shame that they didn't have the professionalism to share their misgivings about me with me unbidden. My Wife became involved with Bankers Life and she felt that I should apply as well. As soon as I made their acquaintance it was obvious that they had no interest in doing business with me at all (but were reticent to reject me outright for fear of alienating my Wife). I was obliged to endure their charade of interviews (designed and executed to enable them to reject me, IMO) to keep my Wife happy. Nothing personal, Thank You. Be aware that if you are a Man of a certain age you are apt to be rejected for no reason at all (at least a reason that they are willing to reveal unbidden). A bad experience from the beginning.

Atmosphere is very inviting, you can tell everyone is happy to be there. Great people that can handle retirement options from Medicare to long term care and life insurance. Great place, they will keep my business.
