Armed with our current copy of the Texas Co-Op Magazine, we went in search of Alphonse and Martha on our recent trip to the Hill Country. What we thought would be a short wine tasting turned into an afternoon of great memories. We left with great stories, great wine, new friends and a promise to return.

What a wonderful experience and tasting room! I've been several times and love the whole experience! Alphonse is a character, Martha is a very gracious host! Totally worth a trip or a stop!

I meant Alphonse & Martha several years ago at one of our wine society tastings. Not only are they both a delightful couple but they make great wines! They’re one of the up & coming wineries in Texas with wonderful taste. If you’re a wine connoisseur like my husband & I are, you need to stop at this very unassuming winery. Let Alphonse tell you about his wines & Martha about the wonderful foods she prepares for their dinners at the winery! I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time!

Al is a wonderful person to meet. He is very kind and gracious to everyone. He entertained our entire group with the story of how he became a wine maker, all the while he let us all sample many, many different wines. He always has a big smile on his face. I would highly recommend to anyone to go and see Mr. Dotson and sample his fine wines . He quoted that"it doesn't cost anything to be nice",and he certainly is a fine gentleman.Thank you Al.

Alphonse is amazing to sit and talk to. Great memory for your family and genuinely cared about his customers. Can tell you the story behind every wine he and his wife have made. The wine is amazing.
