Jumbo Seafood

Food was very disappointing. I ordered a 3 piece catfish, which turned out to be swai instead. I guess if you like swai then itll probably be good. Fish was bland and had absolutely no seasoning. If youre looking for catfish this is indeed NOT the place to get it at. I shouldve known it wasnt going to be catfish when they said they didnt have whole catfish just filets.

Let me start with the staff. They are the best thing about this place. Two women apparently running EVERYTHING, but smiling through it all. The atmosphere is dark and bland. I got a fried seafood platter; my partner got a grilled platter. He got the better deal. My stuffed crab was a shell-full of tasteless mush. The snapper fillet was fried to a toughness akin to jerky. The shrimp were cooked well, but devoid of flavor. The grilled items were much better, but still lacked any seasoning except salt. The only dessert option is cheesecake.

I live in Dallas area and will unapologetically drive to Tyler on a Sunday after church to have lunch here. Staff, owner kind, sweet down home people. Refreshing!

We're tough on seafood places because we eat grilled. No greasy breaded stuff. They we better than the Catch and didn't cost too much AND CLEAN RESTROOMS!

Great seafood at an affordable price. Items on the lunch menu are very affordable.
