Equine Sports Medicine

The two starts are solely for Dr. Dutton. He’s wonderful and has always gone above and beyond and I’m ecstatic to have him as my veterinarian for my mare. The rest of the staff is terrible. They are rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to accommodate basic requests. I recently purchased a horse from Needville who was currently prescribed uniprim. When the medicine ran out sooner than it should have, the needville vet ordered he be placed back on the medication for another week and spoke directly to the Equine Sports Medicine office staff to notify them of the situation so I may be allowed to purchase the medication through them. The office staff angrily told the prior vet that they would not do so, and stated they had no record of myself being a patient of theirs whatsoever, which is a lie seeing as Dr. Dutton has been seeing my mare for several months as both her vet and dentist. They demanded that I go through 1800petmeds to get the prescription filled as they would not do so, despite the fact I made it clear this sick horse was housed at a boarding facility with hundreds of other horses. It would be one thing if the attendant was rude to me, but the level of unprofessionalism to lie and yell at another veterinary office who is trying to push a sale for ESMS is absolutely embarrassing and ridiculous.

Very knowledgeable, trustworthy, honest.... I could not be happier with Dr. Jordan as a veterinarian. I have been a customer for a long time. He is also a surgeon which is a plus if you have a colic etc. I highly recommend.
