Very helpful, great staff, great team. This was a long 3 yr out of state divorce, The first 2 yrs was in PA with an attorny that stole my money however Ms. Pearson took over this case and made it happen! Like a dog with a bone, she and her assistant didnt stop till we got this done. In the end she was able to get me 35,000.00 MORE than the ex wanted to give me in our divorce settlement! Kudos to Melynda Pearson law firm and her assistant Melissa! If you want it done trust this law firm!!

I hired Melynda to handle my divorce and custody of my child. At first I thought she was a great lawyer and was handling things properly. She had said she would allow me to pay a $750 retainer and it would be a total of $5000 that she would let me pay out. I paid the retainer and had paid another $2500 within the first month and was paying the rest out, she then told me I would need to come up with the rest of the amount before she would file the paperwork to get things started, so I did, then the bills just kept coming when I would ask about them she would say "Oh its an issue with our new billing system". She started getting harder and harder to get in touch with. She would say her assistant never told her i called, the assistant would say she told her. If I text her phone she would take days to respond if at all. I got a call from my ex one day wanting to know why I hadn't dropped our daughter off, only to find out that my attorney missed a court date and failed to tell me about it and my ex was able to obtain equal custody. When it came time to go to court she postponed it at the last minute saying she had a death in the family and in order to do my case justice she needed more time. She missed several scheduled appointments ( I live over an hour away). I had to do all the research for her and gave her plenty of things to study for the case. When it came time for our final hearing she was mediocre at best. She had asked me to write out an outline from the time my husband and i met until we separated, which she said was for her own personal use, and mistakenly put it in the discovery as a diary. She wanted me to write on a tablet if he lied about anything during court which I did and she completely ignored, she spent more time worried about the assets in the marriage than the custody portion which i made clear was my main concern. In the end I won custody due to the judge being able to see thru my ex not because of anything Melynda did. She was supposed to write and file a security agreement for the divorce settlement of which she never did even though I called and went to her office for multiple times. My divorce has been final over 2 years and I still do not have a copy of it. I would never recommend this attorney to anyone!

Melynda Pearson is a liar and a thief. I've contacted the STATE BAR ASSOCIATION on her. I paid her to do a job and represent me in my divorce/custody. She never filed any of my paperwork with the courts or responded to any. I found out I had a court date 2 weeks ago and my husband was granted what he wanted. Cause I didn't show up. Now I hired a new lawyer to file an appeal and start this whole stuff over. I sat in her office from 11:30 to 4:45 trying to talk to her I was told she'd see me next and kept getting put off, and never came out I can't get any of my paperwork or files from her that she has of mine. She owes me a refund and im checking Into filing a legal malpractice suit against her. Take your money and go somewhere else she isn't worth the time or the headache she causes.
