Capri Italian Restaurant

Great local Italian restaurant. One of the best I've eaten outside of NYC. Excellent fresh food made by a real Italian. Definitely will visit again.

Food and ambiance are fantastic. However, the service is inconsistent and bit too relaxed for a busy nite . The calamari is the best I have ever had as well as the lasagna, gnocchi, fettecini alfreddo, veal and risotto. The entrees come with salads, according to the menu, but were never brought out, nor were we ever asked what kind of salad we would like with our meal. We were celebrating a birthday, so we were not paying close attention. One gal was running the hell out of all the plates and some of the wait staff was just kinda hanging around chatting...on a busy nite!!!!!! All and all we had a good time, but the service needs some waking up. It seemed like some of the waitstaff really dragged down the service overall. Wish we got our entire meal, as the prices are not the cheapest.. but the food overall is outstanding. Seems like the waitstaff is run by hs kids...only a few people really busted it because others were lagging. I will go back and remember to ask for my salad included with the entree.. if you are not going to serve the salad with the entree...by all means take it off the menu.

Just the same as when we ate in Italy! Olive Garden is crap and a fake; Capri is the real thing!

GREAT FOOD AND KNOWLEDGEABLE PASSIONATE SERVERS. I had the Spaghetti Allo Scoglio and the Chef came out to ask how the meal was. Price was higher than a commercial Italian restaurant but you get 10x the quality. Next time I will make a reservation because I luckily went early but the place was booked for the evening. I will be back to eat more of the menu.
