I cannot say enough great things about this school. The teachers are absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond daily. Headmaster Austin is so incredibly knowledgeable and truly understands his students on a level that Ive never seen before. I worked in public education for several years and I have to say that Clowvazar has an entirely different approach that consistently meets the needs of each student as a whole, not just academically. My 12 year old son has been here for 2 years now and he loves school. He has friend, he loves his teachers, his confidence is growing, and he feels safe. I honestly wish we would have put him here sooner.

This school is amazing! We brought our foster adopt son here. You can tell they truly care. They spent a lot of time with us to see if this would be the right school for him and us. They allowed him to start attending school as soon as we had the placement paperwork. They didnt even make us wait until the state paid them. When we had struggles at home with him, the headmaster and another staff called and talked to me for about an hour total. They offered advice, empathy and a listening ear. I could tell we werent just another number or paycheck. The environment in the school is positive. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. All of the staff seemed to be very knowledgeable too!

After suffering a traumatic brain injury at two years old, my son was diagnosed with intellectual developmental disability, cortical visual impairment, ADHD, and a myriad of other issues. He is a complex child who failed to flourish in the public school system. For example, his vocabulary is perhaps more advanced than mine, but he struggles with writing, reading, and even recognizing letters. Despite his lack of understanding, the public school system continued to advance his grade level and curriculum. (No Child Left Behind, etc.) I knew in that environment, my little boy wouldnt grow to be a functioning adult. Disabled does not mean incapable. Enrolling my differently-abled son at Clowvazar Academy is the best decision I have ever made. Here are a few reasons why. Curriculum- Clowvazar develops the curriculum to each childs needs. Because my kiddo came in at a preschool level (despite being 8), they started him on the letter A and the number zero. After all, we cant continue to learn without grasping the basic building blocks such as letters and numbers. Staff and Teachers- Headmaster Austin is literally like, my hero. I have seen this man simultaneously manning the front desk, answering the phone, consulting with parents, and explaining the flow of electrons (without needing reference materials) t0 older students working with circuit boards. All this and he still finds time to greet me coming in the door. If Headmaster Austin is my hero, Ms. Courtney is my role model. My son is in her class right now. She constantly amazes me with her ability to combine patience with holding the kids accountable for their behavior. Yall, I could talk all day about this. Headmaster Austin, Ms. Courtney, Ms. Jennifer, Mr. Louis, Ms. Paulette, Ms. Sarah, and everyone else at Clowvazar are an amazing example for my child. I cant imagine a better group of people to be teaching him. Environment- Clowvazar (and Mr. Austin) welcomed 0ur family with the proverbial open arms. I am able to spend two days a week (or as much time as I want) volunteering at the school. I spend this time doing one-on-one tutoring with the older kids. I am falling in love with these kids, the staff, and the whole school. Not only is my child finally getting the education he actually needs, but so am I! As I work with the other kids, and observe the teachers and staff, I am learning how to manage my own childs behavior. Clowvazar Academy is teaching my kid to be a better person, and they are teaching me to be a better parent. Students- The kids at this school are amazing. They are held to account on their actions while being reminded that they are still awesome, they are still liked, and they are still smart. The older kids are passing this message on to the littler ones. I had a child melt down over not being able to write the letter S. I tracked him down and found him in the arms of a high school-aged kid who was reminding the little guy that not only was he capable of writing S, but that he is awesome, and smart, and a wonderful person regardless. My heart was so touched. These kids are growing into amazing people. I cannot say enough good things about Clowvazar. They are miracle workers, or saints, or something. I will forever be indebted to them for the impact they have made on our lives, and the improvement I have seen in my son, not only academically, but also behaviorally and emotionally. For the first time, I can see my childs self esteem develop, as he learns, grows, and is reminded that he is awesome. Whats awesome is this place, and these people. We have found not only a miracle, but a home at Clowvazar Academy.
