Opthamology took me in very quickly and were very thorough. Optometry was a completely different story. Waited 1 1/2 + hours after my appointment to be seen - ridiculous

I was seeing Dr Rowden and was very happy with her, but a change in insurance meant I couldn't see her anymore, so they set me up with Dr. Bustamante. My first visit with Dr. Bustamante, he tried to get me to do some extra procedure and my prescription was terrible. I returned to get my prescription double-checked because I couldn't see from the two pairs of that I had ordered, and Dr Bustamante refused to change my prescription before I took some medication for dry eye. When I returned for the second time to get my prescription checked, they tried to tell me that I was getting some expensive treatment involving amniotic membrane in my eye that I hadn't asked for. When Dr. Bustamante finally checked my prescription again, he mentioned (not to me, but to his assistant, that he keeps forgetting that this machine has a different way of recording the numbers than he's used to (which is probably why my first prescription was so wrong). I finally got a prescription that seems to work ok, but now they're charging me for my return visits as if they are new exams instead of making up for their mistakes. This didn't happen with Dr. Rowden. I had always had good experiences with her and would give her five stars, but Dr. Bustamante seems more concerned with pressuring you to do unnecessary (and expensive) procedures that he is with getting your prescription correct. Very disappointing!

This place is the absolute worst! I wish I could give zero stars but that is not an option. Do not bother making an appointment with this provider because they will never keep it. multiple times when I have scheduled my college kids who are in town only for Christmas or spring breaks. they canceled my kids appointments at the last minute, leaving. No options for my kids to be rescheduled during those breaks so then they cant be seen at all!! Office staff also seem oblivious and unhelpful when I explain the situation that my kids are only in town for these short periods of time which is why I made the appointments for them to be seen during these times. Save yourself, the grief, and find another provider, and these people are the worst in particular, Dr. Bustamante, who is the one who keeps rescheduling at the last minute!!

I was a patient of Dr Evans for many many years. He retired this year and I booked an appointment to see a new Dr here. Almost 2 hours waiting in the waiting room, I decided to leave. After reading the other reviews about how they aren't respecting the patient's time, I decided better to go elsewhere. I understand waiting is necessary but over an hour or two hours is just ridiculous.
