Dr. John Folks Middle School

If I could rate this school a 0 I would. This school is THE absolute worst. it's called the best school in texas but tell me why there's so many bad reviews. this school doesn't care about anyone but their staff. if a student is s*xually assaulted they do absolutely nothing about it except say "boys will be boys". so basically they're condoning that abuse is ok, which it isn't. They also say that if you're being bullied to tell someone, but do they care? Absolutely not. they ask "do you have proof?" because if not they will not believe you. So Mr. McKenzie and Mrs. Lopez, what kind of students are you guys raising without acknowledging they're bad behavior cuz it sounds like potential criminals in the making without you correcting their behavior and showing they can get away with their behavior. what about the people who suffer from their behavior? Also the food tastes days old and the wifi is atrocious.

I was a student at this school and I got sexually harassed by one of the kids' showed text and everything of him harassing me.The office did nothing about it.Once i was able to talk to the counselor I got a very weird vibe from her.I tried talking to her about it and she kept asking for sexual details and I told her 3 times I wasn't comfortable. Then nothing happened she didn't talk to the kid cause she believed he was a good kid and didn't even call his parents NOTHING.I was very disappointed.

I'm a student that goes here and this school is absolutely trash! All the "popular" people think that they are better than everyone else. The dress code is super unfair! Girls can't wear the things they want because it's a distraction to boys! It's not the girls fault that boys can't keep their eyes off of us. Also when a student or a group of them are being bullied teachers just turn their heads and act like nothing is wrong and don't try to resolve the problem. If you are planning on sending your child here, you might want to watch out on that because, our school has so MANY fights! Most of the fights take place in the restroom. Why you may ask? Well, because teachers won't do anything if it's in the restroom. Kids hardly ever get suspended for fighting. The school says we are "The Best Middle School in Texas." Yeah, I don't think so! They need to check their facts before the tell a lie about our "wonderfulness."
