I used to love coming to this place but one bad experience and I won't come back. I had a very rude waitress and I told her I needed a refill she would not come back. I told her my taco was not cooked all the way the eggs were runny. She got mad took my plate and gave it to the cashier guy wearing a pokemon hat so he could give it to the cooks. They took my potato and egg out of my tortilla put it on the stove and burnt the eggs put it back in the tortilla and gave it to me. How did I know because I took a bite out of the taco! Instead of just making a new one and making it the correct way. By the way I was sick so I just contaminated the kitchen and probably got other customers sick. Don't come here!

Just went there, and at first glance it has a family restaurant feel except with river walk pricing. Average lunch plate is 9-12 bucks. , the waitress was nice, then we got our food. Bacon was disgusting smelled like grease, my 2 y/o son took a spoonful of my beans and spit them out on my plate. that was bad because he loves beans. The salsa ranchera had the saltiest canned tomato flavor . Then my wife cut into her cheese enchilada and the cheese on the inside was not melted. so i asked the waitress if they can remake then. The cook stuck the whole plate in the microwave and gave it back to us. Mind you there was a salad, and carne guisada on the plate. So the plate was returned to us with the beans dry, carne guisada was hard and dry and sald was melted... OMG Pathetic. ( because you don't put steak and salad into a microwave. Duh ) . It was a pleasure trying to address it to the owner who just looked down and rang my order. Didn't even care that we left during half the meal that we didn't eat... Best thing about the restaurant is that after we left hungry and upset, we found another mexican restaurant that was delicious, except i didn't taste the beans because my son ate them all !!! PS its on i10 behind the sams !!!! If the owner is reading this, the reason the mexican restaurant down the street blanco something is packed an you had 3 tables is because you are not listening or treating your customers good. If this is the waitress, you were great and should be somewhere that the owners share your view of customer service. Do yourself a favor, run .... don't walk AWAY from Jalapeno's it sucks bacause the owner doent care about giving you good food !!!!

BEWARE!! Ordered huevos rancheros with pork chop, the pork chop was raw! I had my 7 month old with me so I wasn't paying too much attention to my food until I got to the middle I noticed how raw it was. When I told the manager he said since I ate it all I had to pay for it all. Pork chops are small and yet there were pieces spread out on the plate showing how raw it was. I told him what if I get sick because I ate raw pork chop, he just shook his head adamant that I had to pay the full price and I said no i wasn't going to pay the full price for it and me being me I gave him only $1 less than what the full price was because I ate everything else but the main part of the raw pork chop.

Today was my first visit at this Mexican restraunt, i have lived in SA for a long time and this place is the best Mexican food in SA. There tacos are the best. The Asadas are nice and cooked and have great taste that I just devour. There breakfast tacos are cheap and their home made tortillas will make you lick your fingers! Great place and i would really recommend it
