I went to the office for a routine eye exam for classes prescription. My health ins pays for 1 free exam a year. Went to the back to the “triage” area where they dilate your eyes. Thru a QA process, I was asked if anything is bothering my eyes to which I responded “no just itchy like everyone else at work”. I was never asked about this by the DR nor did he mention it. Nothing but routine until I came out to “check out” and the receptionist said it would be $200. Waited till I had a chance to talk to my insurance and they explained that because I mentioned itchy eyes, the visit was coded different than a routine eye exam. How disappointing. Just because I have insurance, I feel like I was taken advantage of. Be careful and stress just a routine for glasses exam.

Good Dr. but why have patients show up at a scheduled time only to wait for two hours or more. Been here five times for my parents visits and have never been seen before waiting at least 2 hours. Today, it’s 2.5 and still waiting. My advise to this good doctor is to rethink how you are treating your patients. Most that come here are elderly. Why would you make an elderly person sit in a waiting room for two hours or more. Ridiculous!
