TD Ameritrade

My only quibble is that they did not preserve account history from Scottrade accounts.

I opened my account when this office was scottrade. Since TD Ameritrade took there is no customer service. Tda after the take over restricted my account because suddenly I have the wrong type of account. Forget about talking to anyone, you will sit on hold for hours. Online chat. Useless, try to call your local branch, they just forward all calls to the main TDa number and again sit on hold indefinitely. Before the owner comes on and replies they’re sorry I say bull. If you cared you’d answer your phone! Don’t waste your time (which is money) on the useless company!

Do not use TD Ameritrade, especially this branch and especially George Trujillo the branch intern. I deposited a legitimate cashier's check from Frost Bank with my hopes up that I would have funds to invest soon. Well today I got a letter with my check returned to me saying that my account was restricted to only accepting wire transfers. This is highly inconvenient as I do not have a bank account. The website clearly stated that they accept checks and the branch could have at least told me about this so that I wouldn't be waiting all this time thinking I was going to have funds in my account.

Horrible customer services. I have been given the run around for a week now. These people have had me making multiple phone calls, sending emails and going to the branch and I still can't close my account and access my money! They have me sending forms to fax numbers that don't even work. So if you ever want to get back what you put into your accounts, Chose a different company because Ameritrade will not give back your money!!!!!! Needed this money for an emergency situation and this company is a joke!
