Ivy Enterprises, LLC / The Ivy Group

I had been a satisfied customer of the Ivy Group since 2016. All that changed in 2021 when I paid in full for a bathroom renovation. After numerous calls and listening to multiple excuses, demolition was done June 2022 (day 258 after payment). Again and again I was ghosted or getting more excuses. Next stage of project was started January 2023 (day 475). By June I was so fed up with the load of nonsense that I was being fed, I contacted a lawyer and requested a refund for work not completed. Received a check June 9, 2023 (day 618), severed all ties with the Ivy Group and have hired my own contractor to complete the job. I regrettably referred James Ivy to 2 friends who are in the same situation as many of us on this thread have been. In addition, I spoke to a few of the contractors who had been sent out prior to my severing all ties with this con artist and they had not been paid. I will NEVER hire or refer the Ivy Group for any type of work again and caution anyone considering them, to rethink and read the other reviews.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with James Ivy and team. Our mission: get the final repairs done on our 50-year-old house in order to sell it as quickly as possible. The to do list: replace two interior doors and one exterior door in the garage; replace two large beams in order to level off the roof of our patio; and transform our ugly carpeted stairs into natural wood beauty. The stairs would not be easy because the first three were shaped like triangles and a kite; their treads would have to be custom made. While other contractors before him had committed and later bailed on us, James and crew took this all on professionally and completely. Every detail mattered. The stairs became a work of art that automatically wowed potential buyers to see more of the house because of the excellent craftsmanship. Our realtor commented he doesn't usually direct people to make sure to see the staircase, but in this case he did. Because of the great work by James and team on top of other renovations we had previously made, we sold the house in less than 10 showings at full asking price. James has a wonderful design vision and the project management skills to make it happen. Even though we faced multiple scheduling challenges with other contractors, he adjusted his crews beautifully. I spoke with the owner Tim on Sunday April 12 about our roof issues from the wind storm. He can out the next day and gave me a quote for the repair. He also let me know about some other issues the roof had and fixed those free of charge. Very professional and honest with his work.
