Sleep Inn Medical Center N.W.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have had. Outside the hotel was very nice, expected it to be like many of the other choice hotels we have frequented. The first encounter with staff threw my stay off, they were quick to hand my room key to me and then tell me because we have so many people staying with them this weekend they would not give us points for the weekend.(one of the main reasons our Travel basketball team stays with choice hotels is to help with travel and possible point stays). I was told our rooms were dramatically discounted and so therefore we would not get points for our stay. On my way to take my bags, I decided to get online and see our drastic discount...to my shock it was a whopping $7.00 discount a night. .WOW!! Letting that go,, I went ahead to our room..I opened the door and , I thought I was in munchkin land, the beds were full size beds(with holes in the sheets), the closet was a small armoire with the iron thrown in the bottom of it, the bathroom had a door that slid in the wall (if you could grab the latch you could actually shut the door). Not only was the room small, but the smells that accompanied the room were as if the last guests left dirty clothes, and cigarettes in the room. Our room was located diagonal to the washing machine(only one in hotel which made washing uniforms very difficult), the ice machine in the laundry room did not work, and the vending machine was out of order(it made noise all day and night), but the worst part of the laundry area was the flying cockroach that hit one of our parents in the head. We killed a couple cockroaches in our bathroom that same night. The hotel elevator had cracks in the floor, but you could always take the stairway (just make sure you take a big breath before starting this smoke filled journey). I will say that the breakfast was decent even though we had to get ice for the hot orange juice. We had our entire basketball team and parents staying at this hotel, some rooms had air conditioning broken, toilets clogged and the majority of them had a stale musty odor the same as ours. The staff was not very friendly when dealing with these situations. The time I had to go to the front desk to ask if housekeeping was still going to clean my room and get us new towels(this was roughly 4pm), there was nobody behind the desk instead I found him two feet from the front door smoking his cigarette. What a great ball of smoke to walk through just to hear that "yea they will get to it". Ok, I could have called from my room to get that answer ohh but wait I forgot our room phone didn't work!!

Hotel was my favorite getaway. Quiet, hot breakfast. And they dont bother you.

i have stayed here 3 times and all were worth the price.

The room was o.k. But it had an uncomfortable smell. the carpet was "wet". Not enough toilet paper. Breakfast was fine. i give it a 5 out of 10
