This company came recommended to us through our landlord, but it is likely that he will not use them in the future. We are a small church and utilize our space for children and youth programs. We share space with other businesses and found that our new children's programs conducted throughout the week were resulting in complaints of noise. Therefore, to mitigate the sound transference, we hired Foam It to install a foam sound barrier. The Foam It representative came and inspected the site and provided a pricey yet fair bid. An initial installation date was set and due to the intensity of the fumes, the surrounding businesses were notified. They would not be able to conduct business on the date of installation. On the date of installation we prepared the site but the workers did not show. We connected with our contacts and it was determined that the job could not be completed on that date because the crew's truck had a tire "blow out". Our Pastor contacted the job boss in an effort to work through the problem due to the impact that any change would have on the local businesses and our school that was to start the following Monday. He found the job boss rude and the conversation less than satisfying. We were assured that the installation would occur the following weekend. Not having a choice, we agreed to the installation date change. Our school sessions were relocated off site and the surrounding businesses were told of the installation date change. On the date of the installation, the workers did arrive but refused to work due to the complexity of the job. It became apparent to us that because the workers would be held liable to any damage the materials would have on surrounding fixtures they refused to complete the job. Although we had prepared the site as required and the job complexity was clearly articulated in the bid (admitted by the Foam It representative) the workers refused the job. Foam It failed to communicate the complexity of the job with its workers, The impact to us resulted the loss of two weekends of usage of the space for the church, surrounding businesses lost two days of business and our weekly children's school remains off-site.
