Our experience with the individuals in this company was okay at first, but later turned quite sour. They formed a separate company called Ira Avenue lofts LLC to build townhomes at Ira Ave in Mahncke Park. We were concerned when we learned of the development plan behind our 1 story home. The neighborhood association met with the company where we were all assured that they would do everything in their power to make minimal impact to the neighborhood, make sure privacy was maintained for the neighbors (no windows looking at the neighbors behind the development, no balconies looking into the neighbors backyard, etc) and a promise of keeping as many trees as possible. Of course, one of the more seasoned neighborhood association members warned us of not believing a word they said and sadly she was right. They tore down EVERY tree in the lot, constructed condos with 2 balconies FACING literally the backyard of neighbors (as all the homes behind the development are 1 story 1920s home, these 3 story townhomes tower behind everyones backyard) and quite frankly the development looks cheap. These developers do not take into account the neighborhood they are impacting (traffics, roads, privacy, water permeability) and are purely profit driven. They dont care AT ALL about the people surrounding their cheap developments and of course will be banking in the destruction of our neighborhoods. The picture provided shows one of the townhomes built, keep in mind that thankfully this neighbor has trees in their backyard. Not every neighbor is this lucky and most of the other neighbors trees died during their dig process.
