        Hsiu Yu (pronounced *shoe you*) is an Alamo Heights staple. They have provided some of the best Chinese food in the area for over 30 years. The staff has always treated myself, my family, and my friends I have taken there with a very friendly and welcoming attitude. I can say I have never experienced bad service or bad food nor have I ever got sickened from their food. I got sick from General Taso's chicken at another well known Chinese restaurant located less than a mile from them and paid a whole lot more to get sick. I'm sad to see them retire, but happy for them and wish them all the best. If only you could give me your home address, I could come by and get some of that wonderful food to go :)
