I started this program unsure as to what to expect. I had tried a few other institutions in the past and didn't gain the foundation in which I was hoping to build on. I can truly say Marius Perron and the Audio EnginEARing Institute gave me an entirely different perspective in this field. Not only did I receive a solid foundation but the instructors pushed me to keep building. I do not knock or tear down any other institution's program, but I know 100% the Audio EnginEARing Institutute works! Your eyes are opened up to the jewels and rare finds of audio production residing right here in the city of San Antonio. I have been told I would have to travel to California, New York, Nashville and even Austin to obtain a rich understanding of the music industry and I tell you as a student of this institution, that is simply not true. San Antonio is rich in diversity, creativity and musical culture. Thank you Marius and to the other amazing instructors (Damian, Rob, Richard, Marcy and Amy) for all of your help!

I entered this fully accredited institute almost a year ago, having a passion for being certified in audio and to be able to pursue a career in this field . Our instructor, Marius, told me that job placement was about 90%. To my delight, I just landed an audio job due to the wonderful reputation this school has. Marius knows this field very well and has a very relaxed teaching style. I always felt comfortable asking any questions. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to pursue a career in the audio engineering field or simply has a passion to learn more in live sound, recording or producing music. The AEI is a great school and a great way to get hands on experience with professional gear. You have classes in a studio and opportunities to sit in on recording sessions, and run live sound. For the self-taught or those just starting out, this school will supplement and enhance your understanding and provide you a framework by which to continue to learn and grow as an aspiring audio engineer. It provides an environment of other like-minded people who are motivated to learn and work with audio at a high level, while also providing a reference for your work, so you can know where you need to improve most. But the greatest resource I now have, thanks to Marius and his school, is a network of professional studio and live sound engineers who are currently a part of the sound industry, and have tons of knowledge and experience with Audio. Having access to instructors and their knowledge has had the biggest impact on me and my growth in this field. I would highly recommend the Audio Engineering Institute to anyone who wants to understand Audio in a deeper, more practical way.
