I always like to try out different cuisines and I find myself heading here when I want to try something new from their menu. Love the place, staff is always friendly and the food is great! Try the Rice pudding for dessert! The place seems family operated too, and thats extra props from me.

Based on these reviews, it should’ve been an easy five star but it seems that I was super unlucky when I went. The food took around 3/4 of an hour to arrive and even then, it came in rounds and so we had people in our team waiting while others were almost done with their food. Also probably the reason it took so long was because there was another team who ordered to-go and they were busy serving them while us (the people who ordered much earlier) had to wait for their large order to be finished which wouldn’t have been a problem at all if our food wasn’t cold. I understand that not a lot of people working and a huge to-go order is difficult but it makes sense for people who waited a lot longer should be attended to first. The food looked exactly like the pictures so we were excited despite being served very late but unfortunately our food was almost cold and definitely not at all fresh. Maybe I haven’t tried enough Egyptian food, but it didn’t make sense for the kofta meat or the fries to be cold (!!) and it almost felt like they refrigerated it and turned on the microwave to serve us. I’ve tried some Egyptian restaurants in other cities and I had no problem with their food being cold at all! The koshari was warm and pleasant and felt fresh but not the one here. Obviously we didn’t have the best experience there but what saved the restaurant was the young lady working on the counter who at least apologized for the late arrival of food and managed to let us off on a good note so kudos to her. Please make sure that even on “slower†days that your customers get fresh food and not cold food next time while making them wait a while. Edit: To be clear, I did not mention we waited for food to arrive. People who got their food ate immediately and the first to arrive was the kofta + fries and the fries were indeed cold. Other items were not as bad but it was definitely at least a little bit warm. I agree it may be a bit unfair to say and assume the food was not fresh but it was to a noticeable amount to doubt at least a little. Still, we very much appreciated the fact that the server and team were gracious enough to offer a complimentary dessert and give a proper apology which is definitely a step up from other restaurants I’ve visited. Next time we’re in town, we may try another time. Thank you and I appreciate the team for giving a thoughtful response.
