Simple Elegance Weddings

Our October 10th wedding in 2015 was a spectacular affair with a quaint rustic feel! The indoor barn was the perfect location for our reception and the grounds were beautifully manicured for our nuptials. The owner who doubled as our wedding coordinator did a fabulous job of planning our day perfectly and making sure every detail was in place. For our DIY wedding we were able to keep our costs low and our dreams big. I HIGHLY recommend this stunning location for your dream day!

Simple Elegance really met our needs and then some for our daughters rustic-styled wedding. The accommodations were just right, and the venue fit Texas Country/Rustic to a T. Melanie provided excellent suggestions and her input made the day/evening go off without a hitch. Her wait and bar staff were attentive and eager. The wedding guests have ALL been so complimentary of the venue... - "...how did you find such a unique place?" - "...everything was just perfect !" Too many positive comments to list. Simple Elegance is, hands down, the most beautiful location I could ever recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the East Texas/DFW area. My husband and I stopped at this location first and had a list of several other potential venues to tour. We didn't need to look any further after seeing this property. The owner, Melanie Houchin, has the ability to see your vision with you from start to finish. We chose an all-inclusive package with her, which meant she and her staff literally took care of every single detail. We didn't have to supply anything extra, unless we chose to. I chose to purchase some additional decorations just for special, personal touches but she envisioned my ideas for our wedding perfectly. She has a large variety of decorations on-hand and has the "rustic elegance" and "antique chic" look perfected. She and her staff took care of all my particular floral requests for bouquets and boutonnieres. The cakes were made by her staff as well and were absolutely delicious. We did a cake tasting at the Simply Everything boutique in Royse City and had a wonderful time with the baker, Gayle. At the rehearsal, Melanie talked with me about the possibility of rain on the wedding day and assured me that if it did rain, everything would be moved to the renovated barn located on her property and everything would still be beautiful. The day of the wedding, the temperature dropped to the low 50s (after weeks of temps in the 80s) and that night there was a storm. Not exactly what one would hope for on their big day! We had to contact her the morning of the wedding, to check on renting some outdoor patio heaters because of the drastic temperature drop. Melanie got some rented for us immediately. We never experienced one problem with her or the venue. Everything turned out beautifully and I'm glad we moved to the barn for the ceremony and reception. It was perfect. She highly recommended a DJ that she has been working with for several years, so we decided to use him. She was right, he knew just how to keep everyone up and dancing. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with Melanie and her staff and will recommend Simple Elegance to anyone looking to have a beautiful and stress-free experience. We also, happily, received our damage deposit back. :)

Guests are still saying our daughter's wedding was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. Melanie and her staff were amazing - very professional and right on que to meet all our needs and those of our guests. The venue is beautiful - the wedding photos turned out so well because of the outdoor setting. We needed an outdoor venue with all of the accommodations so Parents of the Bride could enjoy the guests on her daughters special day. Melanie took care of everything!!
