Brookside by Meritage Homes

Absolutely terrible quality and service. I bought my home from Meritage back in November and have had nothing but a terrible experience. The quality of the house is extremely poor which I could live with if they would fix it. Too many problems to list but the big issue that really demonstrates the lack of concern from Meritage is my shower. The picture shows what my main shower has looked like for 11 weeks. The pan was cracked due to improper installation and after they came out and inspected it took over 8 weeks for them to finally begin the repair. They tore the shower out and then after about 8 weeks of me hounding them about why the repairs weren’t getting scheduled they informed me that they weren’t able to get a replacement pan. I’m a former automotive technician and as I explained to them the first rule is you don’t tear something apart until you have the replacement parts. That was 3 weeks ago. I’ve suggested they use a pan from a house currently under construction and they initially agreed only to tell me a week later that there weren’t any to be had. The reality is they don’t care and can’t even be bothered to contact me back over the last two weeks. Absolutely terrible customer service and I wouldn’t recommend you purchase one of their homes.
