This place was the best part of my trip to the area. I wish I lived closer, so I could hang out here more often. The vibe was perfect, food was great, music rocked, and service was excellent. I had the redfish platter: grilled redfish, fried shrimp and crab cake, hush puppies, fries, and a salad. Fish was slightly overcooked (always seems to happen with redfish, no matter where I go), but it didn't distract from the full meal. Everything else was awesome. Shiner on tap. Full bar. Great location. Bartender/waitress was amazing. Very enjoyable experience.

It is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the trek. The long deck in front of the bar/restaurant has a front row seat to the cut into Powderhorn. Great open air seating and a wonderful staff who obviously enjoy being there taking care of the customers. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. If you are looking for a little trip to sit on the water enjoy an afternoon eating and drinking, this is the place to go. Even by boat. Or put your boat in at the ramp available there, and live bait at the store. Or bring your rod and sit on the deck fishing.

Was told by a friend that lived in the area that we should try this place. Went on a rather blustery weekday and wouldn't have blamed them for being closed with whitecaps in the bay, but they were open and we had redfish grilled and fried (and a side), was quite tasty with a nod going to the grilled. I could see coming back often if this is consistent. My ONLY gripe was we were "run out" when a smoker decided to "spark up" inside the plastic covered dining area instead of OUT on the dock...helluva menthol stench. We were nearly done eating but were enjoying watching the dolphins playing. Perhaps put up a sign for smokers to step OUT of the (almost outside, not in the plastic-sheeted area where the smoke gets concentrated) dining area? There is only one picnic table inside the actual building that we saw and a couple had claimed it. Just glad that we didn't need to drive through Corpus for decent seafood.
