Chef House Restaurant

20190123 - This restaurant is now 2.5 blocks closer to the causeway. The food continues to be an excellent value and is owned/managed by the same couple. They are now open for dinner part of the week..... From time to time they have had feature dinners, Valentines for example. Ask about this feature! In the past it has been a fixed price multi course dinner that was excellent. -------------------------------------- The Chef House was recommended by friends two years ago. Since then we have eaten there about ten times during our annual visits to Port Isabel and area. Meals are very reasonably priced and have been consistently VG or excellent. Service is excellent. Service is available from early morning until 2 PM for Breakfast and Lunch. Closed Mondays. The menu is a mix of American and Mexican items. Servings are a good size, especially for the price. We have seen this restaurant get busier each year since our first visit. As there is only seating for about 25, be prepared to wait at the lunch hour. Try any of the soups, you can't miss. Likewise the Mexican dish, eggs with cheese. The daily specials are a three course meal for under $10.00 and excellent value.

Had a Baptismal celebration meal there and it was excellent service deliciously prepared food and great pricing.
