Coastal Charters

Dan and his crew were both professional and nice. He is easy to do business with and to set up a charter. We chartered them to spread my mothers ashes and the next time I want to take a guided fishing trip, hell be the first company I call. Great folks.

Dan (the owner) could not have been more accommodating and kind hearted. Our family was in a bind and he really showed that their are still good hearted humans out there. Thank you again Dan for being a great human. Chase and Willis were our crew members and they made us feel like we were on a yacht with their wonderful customer service and accommodations. The boat was so beautiful and reminded me of my late grandfather's boat. Thank yall again for everything. Highly recommend

If I could leave zero stars, I would. 5 friends of mine and I had the 36-hour tuna/oil rig trip booked 5 months ahead of our scheduled trip, only to get canceled on the day before the trip when the whole group was already in Port A. Both the owner and captain claimed 'bad, unsafe weather' with 5 foot waves in the forecast, although we could find no wind/wave charts that showed anything more than 3 foot. After Coastal canceled we scrambled to find another charter. We spoke with other charters around Port A to see if they had a weather forecast showing 5 foot waves or any other unsafe weather, and they did not. We were able to get a last minute trip booked out of South Padre Island, a 48-hour trip on a smaller boat. We had NO ISSUES with weather and saw no waves that even came close to 5 foot. Max waves were 3 foot. These guys flaked out on us, canceled for bogus reasons, and are not a reliable fishing charter at all. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS CHARTER.

Great experience! Danny squeezed us in at the last minute since we had trouble booking online with another company. Then, day of the trip the boat we were going to go on had an engine issue and Danny got us on the Gambler which was a much bigger boat. He was fair about the slight price increase due to it being a larger boat. The Captain was right on the fish when we got out there, and the two deck hands Andrew and Chelsea were great. Limited on snapper fairly quick, and tried for a shark but came up empty handed. Thank you Danny and the Gambler crew!
