best of BERNINA Plano

Called the beginning of March 2019 as my BERNINA needed a repair. Was given a repair date of June 6th and told they had a lot of machines needing repairs. I was then told to bring it in early Incase the tech had time.. I Dropped my machine off on May 29th. I stood at the register for 30 mins waiting to pay the $27.06 to have my machine looked at as the credit/debit phone line was being used by an employee having a long conversation with someone about how to sew something. Eventually the employee hung up the phone making rude comments about me needing to pay. I was not told (when I booked my apt) that there was a charge to have the machine looked at. I received a call on June 6th and was told the Tech will now not be able to look at my machine until June 20th as he is going on vacation. On June 20th I called the store at 3:00pm asking for an update on the needed repairs. I was told the Tech is currently has 3 other machines on his desk that he is working on and has not looked at mine. I requested that they go and ask the tech when my machine will be looked at today and was then told ‘I don’t know he’s separate from us and he’s gone home for the day’ how can he be working on 3 machines if he’s not there??? I’m extremely disappointed in the amount of time they have had my machine, the lack of communication, the terrible customer service and the lies! I will never return to this store again!

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Very mean and haughty staff at this store. I went in to buy some bobbins for my wife for Christmas, the ladies were incredibly rude to me. They charge $50 for 12 bobbins. I showed them my wife's amazon list, she had found official Bernina bobbins in a 25 pack for $19.99. When I asked them if they would price match they became very angry and impertinent. They could have just said they were sorry they couldn't price match. But they made it a point to make sure I knew I was a bad person for even suggesting it. My mother was with me, and she was so offended that she walked out. I followed. My wife is a professional seamstress and we will not be shopping at this location ever again.

LOVE THIS STORE. Employees are very knowledgeable and professional. Today Judy helped me understand a problem I was having with my new Bernina 770 (because I haven't been to their basic guide classes yet--the holidays, you know). I have been a customer for years and years(this is my third Bernina). I have never known anyone in the store to be as described in an earlier review. The employee who rang up my purchase of a few fat quarters was so nice and customer focused, I am embarrassed that I can't commend her by name. She APOLOGIZED to me for having had to read the review I described to her. Some people just don't understand how brick and mortar retail stores owned by an individual can't do business like Walmart and price match anything sold on the internet. It is obvious to me that if price is your sole consideration, you should just stay home and order everything from a website. When it comes to expensive, precision-made sewing machines, I only trust a certified, local dealer when buying accessories for that machine. A dealer like this one, who goes out of their way and provides genuine parts and accessories, is my choice every time because they will answer all my questions and educate me on how I can get even more enjoyment from my machine.
