Texans Credit Union

I was owed some money by a Texans Credit Union account holder who wrote me a check to cover the debt. To my great surprise, even though I presented two different photo ID cards they refused to honor the check. After some conversation they indicated that they would call the account holder to confirm and then possibly honor the check. But they were unable to reach the account holder when they called, so they left a message for the account holder to call them back. Now here's the cute part. The number they left as a call-back was in a vacant office. So when my guy called them back no one answered. I called him to see what was going on and after finding that he had indeed called them only to get voice mail, I confronted them whereupon they acknowledged that the call-back number was worthless. After painful back-and-forth, I finally managed to get them to call and reach the account holder who instructed them to honor the check. They then turned to me and declared they would need a profile on me before they could proceed, demanding (in addition to the two photo ID's) a declaration of my address, phone number and my social security number, and then they would charge me a $5 fee. I took the check and walked out. These folks demonstrated both arrogance and a total lack of intelligence. A check from them is of little value and they are worthless business partners. Avoid them.

Crystal is my girl!!!!! I had problems with an overdraft and was charged fees and she helped! She also helped me with OLOC and called back with the answers to my questions!!! Texans CU is lucky to have her!!!! Thanks Crystal

I showed up at closing time and Poonam greeted me with a smile and she was very pleasant. She was friendly when I was filling out the check deposit form then ended up walking around to help me with my transaction because everyone else was busy. She was so kind and helpful.
