Ordered from here a few weeks ago after reading a news article about David Cheng bringing his delivery only Fuku to Dallas. I looked up their website and all the food looked amazing. But what arrived was the most disappointing chicken sandwich and tenders I have ever witnessed outside of a high school cafeteria. The sandwich was tiny, edging closer to slider than sandwich. Everything was very dry. I was given one ramekin of sauce for 3 tenders. The quality was lower than a standard KFC and far below Chick File for over double the price. Hard pass from me.

The sweet and spicy sandwich is hands down the most delicious chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! Just go order in person or order carryout via the delivery apps. Seems the bad rep is coming from deliveries.

Was excited to try out this new ghost kitchen for lunch. The food that was delivered was at best luke warm. I was surprised though that even though cold the waffle fries remained super crispy. The problem was they had no real flavor. The stand alone tenders and the tenders used in the sandwich were just ok. Honestly for all of the hype around this ghost kitchen and the price I paid I just expected more. IMO there are better overall options for a chicken sandwich out there.

About
Fuku
Fuku is the fried chicken spot from chef David Chang that hits the mark on every level, from flavor to texture to creativity. The menu features Fuku’s New Spicy Chicken Sando, a crispy habanero brined chicken breast with pickles, fuku mayo on a Martin's potato roll, plus a whole other variety of sandos and sides. Fuku is guided by many of the same principles that David Chang instills in all his restaurants – making approachable, tasty food that draws from both Asian and American influences. What started as a secret sandwich at Momofuku Noodle Bar in NYC soon grew into Fuku. In 2015, Fuku opened its first stand-alone spot in the East Village serving cravable, crispy chicken sandos that continue to redefine what a fast-casual food concept can be.
