Sad. Do not expect aguas frescas or Mexican cokes, they only have flat fountain drinks, I was told they were going to change it, but never did, and still charged us $3 for each flat soda. Cumin is added to their rice so you can imagine how it taste. We asked for a kids quesadilla and 2 squares of American cheese were added. I know its not a Mexican restaurant, its a Tex-Mex, but in my humble opinion its not worth it.

I ordered the queso a la parrilla which wasn't edible. It tasted like a burned Teflon skillet. I brought it home thinking my dog might eat it. My dog wouldn't eat it either. The margaritas were good, the food was awful.

We are longstanding patrons, for many decades and via three locations. Los Amigos is/was our traditional family gathering place. Robert, his parents, and Pepe and Victor and Carlos had/have been key over the years. We visited recently, for lunch. John was the waiter and there were no other patrons upon our arrival, around 1215p on a Wednesday. Our orders (for three, all lunch specials) took 35 min to arrive! The first rice-bite was yummy, from the top of the plate I went for a second forkful from the lower edge and immediately saw a thick, black, long hair entwined in the rice and beans. Gross! I called John to help/rectify. He immediately stated that the cook was bald and implied via words/stance/facial expression that this was not a kitchen concern. I declined a plate "redo", and our group shared the remaining, tasty, food. Please note that I do have dark hair, but it is quite fine in texture, and not long. One companion does have long blonde hair, naturally white, and the second companion had thin grey/brown hair in a tight ponytail. During our meal, we noted a young hispanic woman w/long flowing black hair, highlights, and a clip, entering the kitchen/serving area at least four times..We related this to John, upon paying our tab , and he again denied kitchen issues. What an ARSE!!! I refuse to return if he is the server, if ever. Owner/s please respond.
