image Extremely rude personnel over the phone, after a very long wait she gave me an attitude and recommended me to go elsewhere because my issue could be treated by an optometrist or at an ER, since they were fully booked for the next few days. I don't have eye insurance to see an optomestrist and my family doctor referred me to an ophthalmologist in stead, so I called another office, Eye Center of Texas which representative was incredibly nice and they will see me this week.

image I had a very frightening ophthalmologic emergency. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that Dr. Goldman saved my sight. It is clear that he cares greatly for his patients and has the requisite skill to know exactly what to do. I will be forever grateful to he and his staff for guiding me through this tough time.

image This is the worse doctors office I have ever gone to. One red flag on my initial visit I noticed was the receptionist arguing over the phone with a patient as I was checking out. But the important matter in writing this post is neither the doctor or staff care about patients. The doctor Choi changed my glaucoma eye drops and the new drops caused my eyes to really burn non-stop. I called the office repeatedly for 3 weeks but no one returned my call. I stopped using the eye drops and continued to use the prior drops. During my next visit I mentioned the drops and inability to reach the office by phone to the tech who tried to tell me that the office had a new computer system system installed the prior week. My response was that I had tried to call the office for 3 weeks. I also mentioned this to the doctor who shut me down. The conversation made me feel like my views didnt matter. Even more disturbing was as the doctor and I were going over prior glaucoma eye drops I told her I could not take Latanoprost because it caused fluid build up in my eyes. She sat right there in the room and asked if my eyes turned red for which I replied yes. She said then you had an irritation which is what your records should indicate. This is a serious matter especially when I have been told before by my prior glaucoma specialist to DO NOT let any doctor give me Latanoprost. I know what happened. Lastly, I had to call the office two weeks ago because my eye drops and another medication could not be taken together. Interestingly enough the only call I got from Coastal Eye Associates was to question the side effects caused by Latanoprost. This appears to have been done after I complained to another doctor. The gist is I have vision problems and cannot afford to not be able to voice my concerns to my doctor, be treated rashly, and have a doctor write their opinion because you did not read all the records you received from my prior eye doctor. If I could give a 0 I would.
