Comfort Suites

Was charged $230 for my room that is typically less than $100. Okay. I get it. Supply and demand with the eclipse thing happening. I wish I would have known what their regular price was at the time I booked. My bad - but this isn't about the price. I travel quite frequently, so I can give a comparative review ... 1. Room smelled damp and moldy. 2. Carpets were sticky. 3. Couch sank down so much I thought it was broken. 4. No tissues in the bathroom to sneeze in or remove makeup or blow your nose 5. Shower would not drain without holding up the drain plug 6. TV hard mounted to wall and would not swivel to face bed or sitting area 7. And the bed .... .... 7a. Feet were above my head .... 7b. Edges so soft almost slipped off .... 7c. Sank so much could hardly roll over .... 7d. So unstable it would wake spouse when I moved .... 7e. Both sides of bed had same issues When the cashier was told about this, she was genuinely surprised that it was that bad. And that is the catch with hotels. Clientele get what they pay for. The folks who use Comfort Inn and Suites priced at $100 a night either know they are getting poor amenities and are happy to pay for them ... or they have know idea what a nice hotel is and expect them all to be like this ... or they need a place to crash for the night and this is much better than sleeping in a park ... or they expect to be up all night partying anyway so a garbage bed is just fine ... or they just cannot afford anything better so Comfort Inn and Suites obliges them with amenities that represent a national hotel chain on the bottom rung.

Be aware: This place is NOT a 3 star hotel, and this place does NOT have a restaurant as advertised online. I was very, very disappointed that they tricked me into booking my stay here. I would guarantee Im not the first person that fell for it either. This was such cheap business move by them. They should be ashamed. I will say, the lady working the front desk in the morning was wonderful and such a hard worker. Lastly, take pictures of your room and the damage already there. At this point, Im not trusting the owners/management to be honest and try to charge others for the damages.

Great until electricity went out. We were traveling with our grandkids and they were scared.

It was clean and well taken care of and the breakfast was good.

It was a very nice place, the room was nice, and the location was great. And the breakfast was good. A definite stay again.
