Awesome selection of comics and some back issues. The staff is pretty fantastic they are pretty knowledgeable and helpful. Great kids section too, if you're a mom or dad Geek and you want to introduce your kids to comics go check out Lone Star in mesquite.

Played in a MTG booster draft as a first timer. Both the employees at the store and the competitors at the events were all friendly and very helpful to a newbie. The employees and manager (owner maybe?), Josh, were super nice and put on a great event. I will definitely come back for another event and for any future game/comic purchases.

This used to be my home comic book store, but it has really gone to heck in the past few months. First, they got rid of back issues ordering and just have this awful iPad that barely ever works. When they inevitably do not have the graphic novel you want, they will say they can order it for you. If I wanted to order a comic online, I would just do it from home. Then they got rid of Shawn and Olivia, clearly their two best employees. Stephanie seems nice enough, but she brought in this holy terror of an employee in Kim. Never have I been spoken down to by someone more in my entire life. I think she may be gone, however, as I hadn't seen her there in months. They kept this Jasmine character, however, who just bad mouths Olivia and Shawn to anyone who will listen to her. All she does it sit behind the counter ignoring you until you're at the register or talk to one of her friends and ignore everyone else. I actually had to clear my throat to get her to acknowledge me on my last and final visit, when she sighed and sauntered over to the counter to check me out. And my god, the things she says about her coworkers is just astounding. I've heard everything from Olivia sleeps around to Shawn is a thief to Stephanie is a c-u-next-tuesday in just the past few months alone. How she still has a job there is beyond me. Anyway, Lone Star appears to keep closing stores and with employees and a business model like that, it's not hard to see why. It has directly pushed me away and up to Garland. I'll be trying out Asylum, Craze, and Keith's up in Firewheel whenever that opens, but I'm certainly not coming back to a Lone Star. If anyone from the upper management ends up reading this, try visiting one of the other stores and see what they do well. Your store sure looks pretty, but it just doesn't feel like a comic shop anymore, just a store that happens to sell some comics. Also, seriously consider firing some of your bad employees. I can't be the first to complain about Jasmine, in particular, with the way she treats people. I mean, she's clearly too young to be working with the public. Maybe after she graduates high school, she'll grow up a bit. Also, please do not dismiss this as just another cranky guy. I started a Google+ account just to write this review.
