Staff was very rude! Refused to give back deposit because we were a few minutes late getting out of the room!

Please don't ignore these reviews! These people 100% absolutely DO SCAM YOU out of your deposit! It's considered a civil matter so you would have to sue them to get it back! I literally paid $25 (the amount of my deposit) for damaging a hand towel that I used in place of the dingy stained up wash cloth they provided!!!

I stayed a week and a couple of days before I was scheduled to leave I booked another through Expedia.
I was told I would have to move to another room so it would be easier to cancel my reservation through Expedia and rebook through the motel directly. I went to the front desk and cancelled my reservation through Expedia and noticed that I didn't get the reservation refunded immediately. I went back to the room and waited.
At 11 the guy at the front desk is asked if I was ready to rebook. I checked my account and the refund still hasn't hit. He told me to call Expedia. Expedia tells me that it could take up to 15 days, I tell the guy this.
Now I'm packing up to leave because I don't have enough cash for a week and I don't want to pay for another day or two because if I would have left it alone, I'd only to switch rooms. I didn't ask why I'd have to switch rooms.
As I'm packing up, another front desk clerk comes to the room and asked me if I was going to stay, I said no. She said I had 30 minutes to leave.
Motels and other travel services have to pay booking sites a commission if you book through them.
I won't stay at this Motel 6 again.
They even told me that I couldn't get my deposit back because I wasn't out by 11.
