Mr. Cooper, formerly known as Nationstar (great name change by the way, if your goal as a mortgage lender and financial services company is to be taken infinitely less seriously), is one of the worst companies with which I've ever dealt. Long story short, Mr. Cooper failed to pay our property taxes in full, which allowed a local vulture attorney to purchase a certificate of delinquency on a portion of our property. Several phone calls, with each one ending in Mr. Cooper representatives and supervisors admitting their mistake, apologizing, and promising to fix the issue, resulted in nothing. Now, this vulture attorney has a lien on my property, and Mr. Cooper refuses to do anything because they slyly foisted our mortgage onto Wells Fargo, surely without informing them of this screw up. We're facing $400+ in legal fees from Mr. Cooper failing to pay less than $5 in property taxes on one of our lots. If you're looking for an incompetent, deceitful, childishly named company to mishandle your mortgage, Mr. Cooper is an excellent choice!
