Went there last week to see about a cat I saw on their website. I wanted to adopt this little one because he looks just like the cat I had for over 10 years. When I got there I was outside the gate until someone just opened it for me. I stood there in the door waiting and 2 women came out and didnt acknowledge me standing there. There was 2 other people sitting there waiting so I stood next to the last one. I saw someone coming from the dog area and I asked her who I can talk to about adopting a cat I saw online and she just pointed out to the office and she proceeded to go into another door. Another 2 people came in and they were also standing there waiting for someone. I swear it took over 15 minutes. As soon as someone came out she proceeded to walk to the area of the dogs on the phone. I followed her and she said to wait for her in the front where I was at. This is ridiculous amount of waiting time to ask a question. One of the people sitting got up and left. I couldnt blame her. I too left. You cant tell who works there and who doesnt. Theres no one to identify who works with adoption or who works with answering questions. I want to adopt a cat but even when I called during business hours I got no answer.

Just visited this place last week. Love how they have the cats in rooms roaming around unlike other shelters where they are in cages. It was fun to spend time in the clean rooms. Their cats are very clean and very well fed. Volunteers were cleaning around and refilling cat bowls. Loved all cats especially the cat on top of the computer desk as you enter. The cat greets you with a beautiful meow. Spent about an hour in a half there. Will be going back again when I can. This time to adopt a beautiful fur baby. Great place to spend an hour of your time. Guarantee youll have a fun time playing with them.

The Best Friends for Life organization in Laredo is currently helping me with a stray cat issue in my neighborhood under the TNR program. They have been extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to the problem and have shown much compassion toward the cats and their kittens. The cats will he returned after spaying/neutering, and the kittens will be adopted through the help of BFFL. I greatly appreciate having BFFL in Laredo; they are many native Laredo cats and dogs only hope.
