I don't normally write a review but I feel like I need to make an exception for this one. I was impressed with Whitney from the first contact to the time the job got done. We just purchased the house and with a heavy rain, the roof leaked. Out of the 3 companies I had come over for inspection, Whitney was the most detailed of all. She explained the pros and cons of repair vs replacement. At no point was she ever try to pressure us to go one over the other. My husband and I decided to replace the whole roof since it was pretty old anyway. For every concern/question I had, Whitney was very professional and patient in her explanation and took care of every issue. Her team was amazing. They came in at 7am and were done and out by 1pm. Whitney inspected and walked through to make sure the job was done properly. Whitney and Onit Roofing will be my go to if I ever need someone to fix my roof again. Aside from being very professional and knowledgeable in this roofing business, Whitney was very kind. My husband and I decided to embark on this new project and found out Whitney is a pro in that. She was so kind in sharing her knowledge, experience, and resources with us. She didn't have to do any of that but she did and I am grateful for that. Thank you Whitney! Onit Roofing sets a new standard for roofing contractors. I worked with Whitney at Onit. She is responsive, timely, diligent, and extremely customer-focused. I also happen to be a difficult client, as – owing to my line of work – I am exacting in what I want out of a job and tend to overcommunicate in order to ensure that the project and my expectations are aligned. For some contractors, agents, etc., the overcommunication can be a lot to handle, and the client service tends to suffer as a result. But not for Whitney, and not for Onit. She was a real pro, and her professional approach and demeanor would meet the highest standards of any client-focused work. Onit's quote was commercially fair and reasonable: not the lowest I received, but not the highest. Yet it was by far the most detailed, and this level of detail is something one should absolutely look for (and demand) when it comes to roof replacement (or any other home repair or construction, for that matter). Whitney went above and beyond to make herself available for questions and comments regarding the bid, and we settled on a few modifications that were negotiated quickly and professionally. I felt that I got tremendous value for the money I paid. As for the work itself: the Onit team is great. They are thorough and professional and kind in their approach to clients. They work hard and are exacting in their installation methods (e.g., they only hand nail and don't use guns so as to avoid over-driving nails, which can happen with a gun). They also are timely and diligent: they bent over backwards to accommodate a tight roofing schedule and worked with me the day before the job was set to commence in order to make last second timing changes owing to issues that slightly delayed closing on my new home. Last but not least, my new roof is beautiful, and I am looking forward to resting easy through Houston's storms knowing that Onit stands behind their work (not that I have any doubts). The most important, overarching point I can make about Onit is that this is a hungry team who is clearly looking to expand their business, and to get there, they realize that customer satisfaction has to be paramount. This principle seems to animate all of their work and their client interactions. They even went out of their way to be kind to my neighbors during the roofing process – which was super important to me. If you're a difficult client like me, or you know you expect a lot out of your contractors, I cannot recommend Onit enough. Service: Roof installation
