I filled an antibiotic prescription for my son at this pharmacy. The prescription was written for a 10-day dose, but I realized on the 8th day that the pharmacy only gave me enough doses for 8 days. I called the pharmacy and was surprised that the pharmacist told me he himself is a practitioner and my son "probably" received all the antibiotic he needed at 8 days, although he "couldn't say" if my son's strep throat infection was completely gone. I told him that I trust our pediatrician and since our pediatrician said my son should take the medicine for 10 days, I need them to fill the remainder of the prescription. The pharmacist then suggested that I may have dropped some of the liquid. I assured him I had not. He grudgingly said he would call our pediatrician for a new prescription. I am waiting for a call back, but wanted to share my experience immediately. I cannot trust a pharmacy that tries to undermine a doctor when the pharmacist, practitioner or not, never examined the patient. **ADDENDUM I received a call back from the same pharmacist later the same afternoon. This call was quite different. The pharmacist said he wanted to make it right and I could pick up the last dosages the next day, which I did. I updated my rating on quality and appeal, but cannot change my rating on service because pharmacies should be more careful in their measurement; and should not without being asked, tell customers to listen to them OVER their doctor. I am thankful that we were in town and not traveling when I realized the prescription was short.
