If you’re reading this, just go ahead and book Heather and Jaime! We eloped to New Orleans, just us. I wanted nothing more than to be married in the French Quarter and have incredible pictures that would capture the emotion of our day. Jaime nailed it! He even recommended an officiant for the ceremony because we didn’t know of any and took us all around the Quarter taking pictures and discovering new places. These are not your typical wedding photographers. They capture images that make you feel like you’re reliving the most important moments of your life. They take the time to get to know your relationship and what is important to you. Hands down, besides marrying the love of my life, hiring Dark Roux was the best decision we made for our elopement.

To everyone out there in Texas and beyond...I went to high school with Jamie. I would not have trusted anyone other than Heather and Jamie Schneider with Dark Roux Photography for our Wedding day. From the moment we signed up to work with them, everything was streamlined, easy to understand, and well organized. I was never confused about the packages or what I was signing up for. Even though we know them personally, they were incredibly professional. As far as our Wedding Photos go, I absolutely love our photos. Our pictures are beautiful and are great quality. It rained on our wedding day and they did not even flinch. The knew exactly what to do to comfort me and to let me know they had it all under control. They are creative and are amazing to work with. They have amazing hearts and truly captured every moment with us. They work incredibly well as a team and you can trust them completely, and to be honest....just let them do what they do. Leave it up to them. This isn't something you need to worry about with them being on your team. Adrian and I hope you see something special in Dark Roux that sets them apart from other Photographers because they are special....they are truly different and stand out. I love them like family and am grateful for their friendship. Thank you Heather and Jamie for doing what you do. We can't wait to see you both again in the future. I wish I had adequate words for Dark Roux Photography. As we approach our 10th wedding anniversary I wanted to be sure to share just how incredible this company and their photographers truly are. 1) They are genuinely kind, have untouchable integrity, and are so thoughtful. We are still in contact with Heather and Jamie literally a decade later - we didn't know them before our wedding. That alone says a lot. 2) They made the day amazing, easy, and an extra level of special. They were organized and took our ideas into account too. Plus it didn't take a forever - at some points my husband and I were literally walking and talking and they were there in the background taking photos I cherish. Photos that captured us, not awkward poses. Real life captured in the moment. 3) I am plus size and photos typically stress me out. Somehow they took that out of the equation. I felt gorgeous and comfortable. That says a lot in New Orleans humidity and heat in July! 4) You know when you meet people and you just click? You know it is going to just go smoothly - the conversation, the interaction, the end result? That is Heather and Jamie. You don't have to wonder if you will get the images you dreamed up - you'll get more than you could ever contemplate. On top of that, you get an experience. They will have you laughing so you don't need to worry about forced smiles. They will have you relaxed - so you don't have to stress about looking weird or awkward in photos. 5) Last, but not least, at the end of your incredible day you will remember how amazing your wedding was and high-five yourself for making a damn good decision for choosing Dark Roux. You get the chance to remember the important moments - and they will capture them on film forever.
