In Houston for the day, and found this on the list for United Mileage Dining points. We got there a little early for dinner but the Owner (?) Head Chef (?) let us in and we enjoyed the best Italian food we've had since we moved to Texas in 2009. Everything was truly delicious, and I feel certain the pasta was made fresh to order. My very picky 9yr old ate every last bite of her cheese ravioli and practically licked the plate. Husband had a crab cake for appetizer (a little pricey for one, but he said it was totally worth it) and the spinach ravioli with chicken special, which he loved. I tasted it and I'm not a fan of spinach ravioli, but I thought it was excellent. I got the McQueen special, a chicken cutlet with marinara and melted mozzarella and fettucine aglia oglio, and I can't say enough good things about either. It was so so so good. The portions were perfect, I didn't feel like we'd got skimped at all, and we all had room for dessert. DD had the lime sorbeto, which was lovely. I had the tiramisu and I think it might be the best tiramisu I've ever had. It was definitely better than mine, and I make pretty good tiramisu. The Chef has found the trick for the perfect amount of moistness for the lady fingers without allowing them to get soggy. It was cool, creamy, flavorful and perfect. Husband got the creme brulee, which he willingly admitted was better than his, which is pretty great. The custard was incredible, really. Smooth, rich, and more than delicious, you could taste the vanilla bean. The top was perfectly bruleed and crunchy without being the slightest bit burnt, which seems to be a problem for so many. We are now trying to find reasons to go back to Houston, just so we can eat there again.

It will surprise you in a positive way. Reviews on other services are not lying. It's BYOB and the live entertainment on Friday and Saturday is awesome (if you like a little Frank, Cole or Dean).

My family has been here many times. We have had friends from out of town specifically request it. Great food, great staff, and a simple but warm atmosphere. They are closed on Sundays but can be booked for special occasions. The chicken marsala is excellent. B.Y.O.B.
