My daughter was giddy when she saw her food arrive in a lunch tin. The food was fresh and house chips were crisp and flavorful. The portions are huge and shareable. Great service.

I eat here all the time, not because I enjoy it either, but because independent American diners are difficult to find and I like a good traditional American breakfast. The food is not the most tasty food, and will leave nothing to be missed. All the condiments are served in cheap disposable take out packets even if you are eating in at a table. If you order a cup of tea, you will be charged for each individual cheap Bigelow's tea bag as if it were some type of luxury tea. If you order coffee and want creamer and sugar you must open open several cheap plastic disposable packets which quickly consume your table with trash and are unsightly. You must sit there with them until the wait staff decide to remove them. The atmosphere, furnishings and overall atmosphere are cheap, dated and boring. The lighting is overly dim and gloomy, with dated pop music playing through cheap speakers. The wait staff are relatively okay, but working in a monotony would hardly be stimulating or exciting. Probably even quite miserable at times. Which would be testament to the low retention rate. Everytime I visit, I see a new employees. Observing the place reminds me of why Independent owned American diners are in declination, or stagnating like this one that has barely managed to survive.
