SRE3 has come a long way since buying solar panels, a new A/C unit, and solar powered attic vent fans in 2009. At that time, SRE3 had done a house efficiency test and explained very well the benefits of solar panels and a new a/c unit. They were very cooperative in adjusting to engineering changes like not installing solar water due to a shallow roof line.
Fast forward to 2013/2014 and since being bought out by Gridpoint, they changed Management, sales people, field people, etc. We consistently had the service person out for spring/fall checkups mainly because when it came time, the equipment wasn't working. While the office said this last time that the a/c equipment was under warranty, they called another service company out and later sent us a bill. If it wasn't for their service person not doing the work correctly all this time, we wouldn't have needed this service. And had we known that it was out of warranty, we certainly wouldn't have gone with them.
Their service attitude has taken a plunge since the way the organization was originally run. After spending close to $30K for solar, a/c, and service plans, they ding us for ~$100 due to lack of proper maintenance on their part.
