Where do I Begin , I have had the most outrageous week of a life time. Unfortunately I lost my groceries. I work near by and decided to make a lunch trip to the store due to my work hours I was not going to be able to go after. I decided to utilize my lunch hour for not just myself but for my children as well. The person who bagged my items was unable to fit all my things in the reusable HEB Bag that I brought in. I took it upon myself to correctly bag my items since I was in line for 15 minutes longer after I had already paid. Two coworkers spotted that he needed assistance but ignored him. I then had to fix my items in my car and as a result everything fell out my small Suv trunk that I thought had closed. I called the Manager Jay and explained my situation and also stated it was my last $80 I had to purchase groceries until next week. He simply laughed and mocked me and as a mother with children having this unfortunate event happen, it is a horrible nightmare. He stated "If the items fell in my parking lot then I am responsible." I said my items have continued to fall out from the parking lot to the Gessner street. Even though not much could have been done and maybe it was my frustration blowing up into fumes, I needed to hear that I was ok. Instead my heart just sank and I feel horrible for not being able to bring food home to my children. The Customer service I received have been the worst that I have ever experienced. Again Maybe yes it was my fault but as a manager Jay you had no compassion. Sometimes simply saying "Everything will be ok" is all a person needs to hear. Instead you took me as a person who wanted you to replace everything that I lost. As a customer who has spent years in contributing money to your company I will no longer have the heart to step into you grocery store again. Thanks for your time in advance to hear me out.
