Aragon Middle School

Coach Meischen would yell at me intimidatingly ( like it would make me feel unsafe )and it made my 7th grade self  feel vulnerable and it was evident that she would judge people based of their physical or athletic skills. I  was physically weak and when I joined pre athletic program, i felt so weak to even walk. I ran more than what my body could take and could not walk properly for so long. Her frequent intimidating yelling made me not want to be in the gym anymore. I wanted to avoid her but I had no choice so that time I came late, she yelled at me and I felt I had to rush into the dressing room because I just felt like she would harass me. She made me feel I was in kind of military bootcamp. I was young and she should have been more compassionate

On my opinion I do not like the way the present them self's to the students teachers are very rude and some don't even pay attention to there kids

My daughter went here for 3 years.  She is my 5th child. While I could go on and on about the complete lack of professionalism by the administrative team at this school, I am hoping that a school official will see this and just know that there is way too much that happens in this school.  There is a lot of bullying, judgemental and racist teachers and also teachers who lack the complete ability to be engaged with the student 100%.  Mr. Davis is a rock star.  He is the one teacher who consistently was supportive and helpful through the years.  I do not recommend any teenager going to this school. I can promise you that your normal child will start 6th grade here and will evolve into someone that you quickly don't know.  No amount of therapy fixes all of that.  Cy-Lakes High school for summer camp?????  You would have found nicer people on the street corners in Downtown houston.  Where they got the Assistant principal for this school is beyond me but she needs to go back to the streets where it sounds like she is from. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE by MY standards and I would have thought by CFISD standards as well.  As high as the taxes are for this district and our kids are treated like this???I would expect this from HISD but even they have stepped up their professionalism.  CFISD is getting too big for their pants.

Went here for middle school for the full 3 years. There was a concerning amount of scandals...The school consisted of mostly Caucasians (lack of diversity led to some not nice things said to the poc students). I can think of 3 teachers off the top of my head who were cold and rude for the entire school year... why work with kids if you aren't kind or patient enough to handle them? I've even had a teacher talk bad about another student to us during a club meeting (she said her name and everything!) very unprofessional. As terrible as my experience was at Aragon, Kamanawanaplaya or whatever it's called was so much fun and so was the formal. The last day of school in 8th grade was notably incredible. Some teachers played sports against students plus they had a slideshow of images gathered from 6th grade to 8th.
