Massage Envy - FM 1960 Eldridge - PERMANENTLY CLOSED

My massage was wonderful! I received a gift card that included the gratuity and was feeling really good until I went to leave. I learned after I paid and wanted to put the tip money in an envelope, to personally hand to the therapist, that management holds the gratuity until it "processes through the system". The therapist can wait up to 2 weeks to get paid. That is ridiculous and certainly not fair to those that worked so hard to earn it. Very disappointed that this happened.

I would not necessarily book here again in the future... So I visited here last week to use a $75 gift card I received as a gift. An hour long massage cost $65, leaving me with $10. I asked if I could use the remaining $10 on second massage for my daughter, and then just pay the remaining balance. They said yes, so I booked a second massage for my daughter. I was scheduled with Caesar and my daughter with Norma. The check in process was smooth and the front desk clerk was friendly. However, I did not enjoy the experience from there forward. Caesar met me and the front and took me back to the massage room. His demeanor was reserved, no warmth, no how are you today. He never introduced himself, and when we stepped into the room, he said "Okay, what do you want me to work on today?' I stated I just wanted a massage for relaxation. He never asked what type of pressure I would like, and he used firm pressure, which was uncomfortable at times. Yeah, one would agree I could just speak up, but when I am paying almost $100 dollars for a massage including a tip, I expect top tier service. I have had multiple massages that cost a lot less than this and with better service. Not only was he not personable, the massage was average and unremarkable. I did not leave with that relaxed all over feeling, I usually get with massages. My daughter had a better experience than I did. She came out raving about Norma and said she wanted to come back the next day for another massage by Norma. We compared experiences, and she said Norma was warm and welcoming, introduced herself and asked my daughter about pressure and asked if the pressure level was good when she started, none of which occurred with my massage. Overall, I might visit again to give Norma a try, but I would not book with Caesar again. I've had better massages of Groupon for $23 dollars.

Do not enter into a contact with this company! They would not allow me to get products with my last 2 monthly contract fee to avoid putting myself in a position to contract Covid (you cannot wear a mask while getting a facial) I was trying to work out an equitable resolution to finishing my contact but not putting myself at risk. They would not even consider. Anyway, I recently tried to make an appointment to use my remaining $130 they collected a few months ago and they said I had no credit. Apparently my $130 went away because I waited too long to use? They will not even consider providing me with any service or returning my calls to discuss. . Wow! Im going to report this company to the better business bureau for what I believe is an unethical business practice during a world wide pandemic. Shame on them! I would not recommend getting involved with this company! Ive never paid for a service and then was denied the service with no option to receive a refund of the service fee. Its a horrible business practice in my opinion.
