A Plus Superior Refinishing

Day 1: In the beginning, things seemed good. Gilbert reached out to start our job a day early, requesting we pay half then and half upon completion. Everything seemed okay, Gilbert showed up and "prepped" the space, caulking and taping for a total of about 30 minutes. He said he'd be back the next day and asked for half of the fee ($375) as discussed, and despite not really doing any work, we gave Gilbert the benefit of the doubt and paid him. Day 2: The next day, Gilbert showed up late, claiming he had a court date in the next few hours and would have to get things done quickly if he was going to finish up. Keep in mind, this was only supposed to be a one day job to begin with. Gilbert talked incessantly about his personal problems and honestly spent 2 out of the 3 hours at our house talking, talking, and talking some more, as opposed to actually doing the job. It got to the point that I told him to stop for the day because I didn't want the job rushed and so he could get to his court date on time. Day 3: Gilbert showed up late again, this time with a bandage inexplicably wrapped around his head. By this point both my wife and I were sick of him, and had I not made the mistake of paying him half up front, I would have already called off the job. But, here we were, and Gilbert finally began spraying the tub and shower. About 2 hours later, he was "done". Runs in 3 different places, discoloration in another, to which Gilbert said "let it dry and if there's anything wrong I'll come out and fix it". We knew it wouldn't dry correctly, but we wanted Gilbert gone, so we paid and sent him on his way. Days later after entering our bathroom again, we came to realize that there was overspray. A lot of it. Our new floors were covered, mirror covered, and vanity covered in remnants of spray. Of course, the drips were still prominent, the only difference now being that they had solidified in place. I reached out to Gilbert yet again to ask him to correct his mistakes and was given the excuse that he didn't have any of the plain white finish we used. Again, for emphasis, the tile refinisher didn't have any plain white finish and wasn't sure when he would have it. He told me he'd call me as soon as he did, and, as I'm sure you've guessed, he did not. Pros: - Gilbert fixed an issue with our old drain that was broken while he tried to remove it during the intial job preparation. Cons: - Literally everything else. There is plenty more I could write about the general lack of professionalism and otherwise, but this review has been condensed for the sake of everyone's time. Please, for the sake of your sanity and money, consider hiring someone other than Gilbert. Service: Remodeling

Very professional and understanding. He was quick at understanding what I wanted done to my kitchen counter top. He did a fantastic job and I couldnt be more happier with the end results!

Very nice guy. I asked a million and one questions and he was happy to answer them all. I would definitely recommend his services. He patched a crack in my tub.
