Matt recently helped us remodel our kitchen and adjacent den in our mid-century ranch home in Third Ward—and we absolutely love it! It was a large undertaking so were a bit anxious at first; we shopped around for general contractors and were immediately impressed by Matt's professionalism, communication, and style. After a few failed meetings with other GCs, we knew Matt was our guy! Matt worked with us and our budget to build something that reflected the spirit of our home and that would also look classy, inspiring, and fresh. It was also our first time to take on a remodel project of this scale and he was good at walking us through the steps. Like any project of this size, Matt encountered some building issues along the way but we were impressed by his ability to keep calm and find solutions and not deviate from the plan while keeping us informed of our options. He was really good at communicating with us daily, being at the work site, and taking care of the day to day maintenance of the project—and his subs are of high quality, too. (Having employed a variety of subs for jobs in my house over the years, I can appreciate how important—and difficult—it is to find skilled and competent craftsmen!) Matt's attention to detail also made all the difference; he's got a good idea for interior design, style, and home building, too. He was keen to be sure we were satisfied along every step of the way, keeping a list of issues that he would regularly discuss with us. (I did have to remind him, however, to keep the rest of our home clean from the dust and debris and trash and to better protect our floors, etc; I trust he'll be more conscience of this for future projects.) We are very satisfied with his work and are in love with our new kitchen and den! For first time remodelers, we definitely think it's worth seeking out a general contractor for your peace of mind, and we highly recommend Matt Baker Contracting! Service: Remodelling

Recently worked with Matt and his team on remodeling my primary bathroom. Extremely happy with the end result. He is very detail oriented and strives for excellence. These guys were excellent to work with. I had them do our kitchen remodel because my lady didn't trust that I could do it myself. Even though I put up one heck of an argument to let me tackle the project, after watching these guys do their thing with our kitchen, I'm incredibly glad that my lady called me an idiot and wouldn't listen to me or my ideas. While I'll never tell her just how right she was all along, I'm compelled to spill the beans to you folks who might be future customers because I think Professionals of this caliber deserve to get your business.
