Shanghai Restaurant

Delicious dim sum place hidden in the corner! Located inside the complex that houses HMart, Shanghai restaurant has all day dim sum. The service was fast and the food was tasty. Our favorites from here are the turnip cakes, which was thick and hardy, pan fried just right, the egg custard buns, which were colored yellow and in the shape of a piggy face. Everything else were great as well; we didn't have a bad dish and we ordered 7-8 items off the dim sum menu. There was also no wait here for dim sum on a Sunday. This was our first time coming but won't be our last!

We really wanted dim sum so we had it in the evening. However, the dim sum here was not as what we expected. The best was the baked bbq bun, but unfortunately they ran out when we placed an order again for it. The rest was just okay. I found most of their food a little blend and not as flavorful. The service was good. There's just one lady managing all the tables, and the place was quite packed. Coming from Malaysia, we have huge expectations on dim sum so many may like it but for us the flavor just wasn't what we were used to.

I went here to get some dim sum. Food was okay. The egg tarts were fine and service was nice. Place looks old fashioned because of the setting.

The dim sum they selling are so-so, but I don't know why their egg custard tastes weird ........ Besides, a lot of customers smoke outside, and you can smell it when you dine in
