Betty Markham, MD

Longtime fan of dermatologist, Dr. Betty Markham. Kelsey-Seybold is absolutely RIDICULOUS. On February 22, 2022 I made an appt. for March 17, 2022. I received an appt. reminder on March 15. On March 16, I received messages that my appt. was CANCELLED - no explanation. On October 24, 2022, I made an appt. for December 22, 2022. I received an appt. reminder yesterday, December 20. Today, December 21, I received messages that my appt. was CANCELLED. This time because they no longer accept my insurance.

This was m first time appointment with Dr. Markham. Her examinations and treatments were caring and thorough. Explanations and written information was provided as needed.

Went to see her for my bi-annual skin check and to remove a precancerous lesion on my neck. She refused to remove it and instead froze it with liquid nitrogen. She then checked my body for suspicious growths and did a terrible job doing so. Did not check my head, scalp, chest, feet, under my breasts, etc. And she couldn't get out of the exam room fast enough. She wasn't with me more than 5 minutes total. I would not recommend her at all if you're looking for a good dermatologist. I will never go back even with all the areas she missed on my body.

I was in this office on 5/8/23 for a spot that has grown under my left eye. This dr was basically dismissive of my concerns, barely took the time to look at me and was out the door in less than 5 minutes. There was little to no direction of aftercare from freezing the spot and zero discussion of what it could be or discussion of family history, etc. Upon asking how I should care for the frozen spot she just shrugged and said keep Vaseline on it. Upon asking if she needs to look at anything else on me she paused in the door with hands on hips and says Do I NEED to look at anything else on you? By then I was done and said no maam. I will not be back and will find a better dermatologist that actually sees their patients instead of rushing through them like tasks that must be completed. What a joke that I took off from work, drove over an hour and PAID for underwhelming treatment.
