I have tried so hard hoping this restaurant would get better but it’s horrible in every way. I ordered online and it an additional 50 minutes to get our food. While we waited we walked on sticky floors and sat amongst 7, yes 7 dirty tables. I don’t know where the breakdown is with this restaurant but it’s always this way. Very sad because I really like Pei Wei. Or at least I used too. On another sad note the food was terrible. Where is Corporate why aren’t they getting involved. I have reached out to them before but it just gets worse. Last time for me.

I have recently moved to the area, I usually LOVE Pei Wei. I have been to countless locations all over Houston. This location though... the food is not okay. Not sure if this is a one time thing or their usual. I got the sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. Tasted like burnt oil. The rice mainly but the chicken has its pieces too. It will be a little bit before I walk in their doors again, for food to taste like this and the soda machines to be running on only carbonation, no syrup.. I wont be returning soon.

The food was not that great. The califlower bowl was extremely bland. The Asian Chopped Chicken Salad was poorly executed and was cross contaminated with mint. The bowl that our food was served in was visibly dirty just like the restaurant. We were there for about 45 minutes and the tables were never cleared as people left. The restaurant was not busy at all. Some tables were dirty upon our arrival and remained dirty when we finished. The floors were sticky as well. We used to enjoy this place, but unsure if we will return.

—UPDATE—- Currently here (02/13/19) trying to eat dinner but food can’t seem to come out right. The egg came burnt on the fried rice leaving an overall bad taste and they substituted the boiled chicken for breaded chicken since they failed to inform us they were out of the boiled chicken. Rice that came with the poke bowl was hard and didn’t seem fully cooked. Highly DO NOT recommend this location. Problem after problem. This location is always filthy and the staff is very dry and couldn’t give a damn about the customers. After they remade it with shrimp it comes out looking even smaller than before and as I’m eating it still taste burnt and start to find pieces of burnt stuff from the grill mixed in. Definitely will not be coming back! ———- Was great until about March and everything seems to have gone to hell. Come here about twice a month and they’re always out of one thing or another!! Upon arriving here for a family dinner on in April we were informed there was going to be over an hour wait to get our food due to the back up of online order and they only had a limited menu because they had very few ingredients on hand. Another example, last month one of the soda machines wasn’t working and the other had a very limited selection and on today’s visit they were out of tuna for sushi and bowls. Not only does the restaurant lack adequate supplies to make the menu items, it also lacks paper products such as napkins which they’ve been out of on several occasions as well as paper towels in the disgusting sticky bathroom. Only reason this review wasn’t a 1 Star because the food always comes out hot.
