If I could give ZERO stars, I would! I should’ve known better than to trust this place, which doesn’t know JACK about customer service! We had Joanne (spelling?) come to our condo and measure for carpet in one room, charged us a “high rise†fee (ok fine, whatever that means), we paid that day and she said it would be 2 weeks (that was January 5). A month slips by and we call—no answer. We call another day—the guy says we have to speak to the lady we bought the carpet from, not him, and that she’s not there that day...ok. We go by the store a few days later—it’s open, but nobody was inside! It’s like they wouldn’t care if some troublesome teenager walked in and stole their samples and/or lit the place on fire! We get a random call a week later that it’ll be delivered Friday, Feb 23... not a question if this date is ok, but alright, let’s just get our carpet. Feb 23 comes and we get a call in the late afternoon that they can’t come, but they will surely come on Saturday. Saturday morning, 2 installers come and make up some excuses that they can’t install the carpet in our condo because they don’t want to use the elevator. Ok so if we lived in a 4 story townhouse like so many people in the loop, you’d be ok dragging it up the stairs, but you can’t use an elevator? The managers excuse was that one of the installers was 77 years old. Give me a break! They said they’d have different installers come on Monday FOR SURE. At this point, we asked for our money back and went to Carpet Giant, got our bad ass plush carpet for 2/3 of the price in 1 week! Make sure you use American Express if you decide to gamble your money on Jack’s Carpet, so as to ensure a refund when they run you around like this!

We had done business with Jack’s once before with good results. We were not as lucky the second time. We called Jack’s, a salesman came out, surveyed our rooms, and asked us for a check for $4,100, so they could get started. After 3 missed deadlines, I had a sinking feeling we were in trouble. Finally, I met with Jack Fitzpatrick Senior & Jack Fitzpatrick Junior (current owner). They both apologized and said they could not complete our order—Jack’s had bad credit and they couldn’t buy the carpet they promised me from their supplier. Making matter worse, they were only able to refund us $2,200…..AND, kept my $1,900 . It has been several years now and they still won’t provide us with carpet, service, or a full refund. *I still hope that ONE DAY that Jack’s WILL DO THE RIGHT THING by my and my family. **Until then, buyer beware. ***They did this to me and my family. ****They could do this to YOU!
